What is a citation?

A citation is an online mention of a business on another website that features the Name, Address, and Phone number (NAP) of the business. For example an online mention of a business’ details on a third-party website or local directory such as Yelp, Angi, or Facebook. It includes the business’ name, address, and telephone number, and sometimes other details such as opening hours, products and services, images, videos and social media links.
